Responsibilities:
Ensuring student, program, and institutional success by:

Planning, organizing and directing the instructional and administrative activities of the Early Childhood, Teacher Education, Physical Education. and Cosmetic Arts programs at CPCC;

Providing divisional leadership that will ensure a quality instructional process;

Providing highly responsible instructional and administrative staff support to area Dean;

Coordinating assigned activities with other College divisions;

Overseeing program coordination, curriculum and review.

BS in Early Childhood, Special, and Elementary Education, College of Saint Joseph, Rutland, VT

 
Educational Experience:
35+ years in teaching and administration at the post-secondary level--have worked with students at the Associate's, Bachelor's, Master's, and Doctoral levels.

Extensive experience in applying theories of how learning works, creating engaging opportunities for learning, and using assessment results and data to make sound instructional decisions

Working with portfolios and other forms of authentic assessment for 20+ years

Post-secondary roles have included Professor/Instructor, Supervisor, Enrollment and Academic Advisor, Program Coordinator,Director

Interests:
Creating and maintaining authentic learning communities that support and prepare students through the use of "best practices" in instruction and assessment

All things regarding young children, especially interested in developmentally appropriate curriculum and programs that serve young chidlren and their families.

Love the theatre, especially musical.

Reading, reading, reading--never enough time for all the books out there I would like to consume.

Social justice work and education through my faith community.
