Jim is a Graduate of the Culinary Institute of America (CIA), a Certified Executive Chef and a Certified Food and Beverage Executive. A Springfield, Ohio native, Jim has worked in the hospitality industry in Ohio, Flordia, and the Carribiean Basin before settling in North Carolina in 1980. Jim has worked in Hotel, Catering Facilities, and Clubs as well as owning his own consulting busness. He owned Shark Finn's, a fun little crab shack here in Charlotte, (Now the LYNX line runs over the site!) and has held leadership and management positions in many exclusive operations, such as the Myers Park Country Club serving as Executive Chef, and Market Square in High Point, NC acting as Executive Chef/ Food & Beverage Director. Jim is active in civic and professional associations, including the North Carolina Restaurant Association, Hospitality Tourism Alliance and the American Culinary Federation, where he has served as president of the Charlotte Chapter.
