Interests:
With two daughters living on their own now, time and (and money) has opened up opportunities to get back into interests I hadn't been able to do as much as I would have liked such as going to live music and sports venues. I've always enjoyed listening to music of all types, especially acoustic blues and blues rock from Eric Clapton, SRV and the likes, and I've managed to pick up my Ovation 6-string more often recently. I'm still a bit away from playing at the same level I was 20 years ago, but I'm enjoying relearning guitar.
Other hobbies include photography, home repair and home design (I'm currently designing my retirement cabin) and I enjoy taking in the beauty of my land in Virginia from the vantage point of a hammock. Whenever able, my wife and I enjoy taking weekend road-trips to see a variety of lesser known musical artists live, such as Maggie Rose, Marcus King and Liz Longley. Someday, we both hope to take a trip across the country staying on only the two-lane roads, avoiding cities and interstates at all costs in an effort to see the country as it once was as interconnected people, not interconnected cities.
